Sports Alabama presented the 2022 Annual Report, a year end update on activities, events and sponsorships secured during FY2022. The 2022 report provides updates from each member on their Fiscal Year projects, including estimated economic impact figures, number of events and highlights of major accomplishments during the year.

The No. 23 University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team is set to host the 2023 Charger Chillout, presented by Marshall County Tourism & Sports, at Sand Mountain Park this Friday through Sunday.

Lake Guntersville was the site for the second stop of five for the Alabama Bass Trail North Division. The ABT continues its 10th season where it all started at Lake Guntersville in 2014. The changing weather conditions including high winds and falling temps were expected to make the fishing difficult. However, Lake Guntersville showed out in true form with 22 teams weighing over 20-pounds.

Over the last 12 months, Sand Mountain Park and Amphitheater has boasted a $23.2 million economic impact, park officials estimate.

Lake Guntersville to Host 2022 Toyota Series Championship

Major League Fishing (MLF), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced that Guntersville, Alabama has been selected to host the prestigious 2022 Toyota Series Championship, Nov. 3-5, 2022, on Lake Guntersville.

The Alabama Bass Trail 100 Series will make its debut in January 2021 and will be held on three of the Alabama Bass Trail lakes including Lake Guntersville.

Seth Feider says that if you’re going to win the Classic, this would be a really cool place to do it.

The 50th Bassmaster Classic will come home to its Alabama roots in 2020. The Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by Huk will be held in Birmingham, Ala., with fishing competition taking place on Lake Guntersville at Guntersville, Ala.

Hundreds of kayak bass anglers from more than 40 states launched into Lake Guntersville for a chance to win a national championship.
