Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Marshall County

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, so time to get your green on, and what better way than with some delish dishes straight from the green isle.

Local restaurants will have a few additions to their standard menus in the coming days to celebrate the Irish including green eggs and ham on Sunday at Homecoming Café. JD’s Grill in Guntersville will offer corn beef and cabbage, Reuben sandwiches and beef stew as their tribute to this must-celebrate March holiday, along with new drinks from the bar that are sure to put a smile on your face.

Papa Dubi’s in Albertville may be Cajun to their core but even they cannot pass up the opportunity to tip their glasses in honor of St. Paddy with a new cocktail called “Irish Gentleman” featuring Irish whiskey, Grand Marnier, Licor 43, and fresh lemon juice. If you prefer a sweeter option, the “Isles of Kerry” will be a good choice made with Lemon Vodka, Licor 43, Blue Curacao, melon liqueur, pineapple juice and cream of coconut.

Beef O’ Brady’s plans to kick their Irish up a notch this Friday, March 15. Foster will provide music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the restaurant will feature a special menu including corn beef and cabbage and shepherd’s pie. Drink specials will highlight Irish whiskeys and of course, there will be green beer.

The tourism’s mobile visitor center will be onsite with giveaways and everyone who wears green will have the opportunity to register to win a VIP experience at this summer’s Guntersville Lake HydroFest.

Saturday night the party moves to downtown Albertville with drink specials, live music and food at Busted Oak Bourbon Society. Be there at 7 p.m. and wear your green! If you have not been out for dinner or drinks in a while, then grab some friends and go out in Marshall County. As luck would have it, there are plenty of options to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
